Meet Oleh Prodan

Strength coach. Lifelong lifter. Founder of Iron Brotherhood.

I started lifting at 12, first through bodybuilding and later through powerlifting. The pursuit of strength has shaped how I train, how I coach, and how I approach challenges: show up, do the work, and learn from the results.

My Story

I was born in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine, and moved to the United States in 1996. Building a life here taught me the value of persistence, education, and taking responsibility for the next step. Those same values sit at the heart of Iron Brotherhood.

My own training has included progress, setbacks, and injuries. That experience taught me to respect technique, recovery, and the need to adapt a plan when circumstances change. Strength is a long-term pursuit, and the work has to fit the person doing it.

Why I Coach

What keeps me invested in strength training is the process: choosing a goal, doing the work consistently, and seeing that effort turn into something measurable. Coaching gives me a way to share that process. I want people to understand their training, build confidence in their ability to improve, and develop habits they can carry beyond the gym.

How I Coach

I help people build general strength and develop the squat, bench press, and deadlift with a clear plan and practical feedback. We start with your goals, experience, equipment, and schedule, then use your training results to guide what comes next.

My programming draws on conjugate training, Sheiko, Eastern Bloc approaches, and progressive strength methods. The method serves the goal. Exercise selection, workload, and progression should have a reason you can understand.

Expect honest feedback, attention to technique, and accountability. Consistent effort matters, and so does making thoughtful adjustments along the way.

What Working Together Looks Like

When a lift stalls, we look at the training behind it: technique, exercise selection, workload, recovery, and whether the plan is being followed consistently. Feedback should give you something specific to work on. When work or life changes your available time, we adjust the plan around what you can realistically execute and keep moving toward the goal.

Education & Coaching Background

I hold a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University and completed my MBA at Western Governors University in 2026. My coaching education includes ISSA fitness training, USA Powerlifting coaching, USA Weightlifting club coaching, and RockTape Level 1–2 functional movement taping.

The Purpose Behind Iron Brotherhood

I founded Iron Brotherhood to bring together men committed to becoming stronger in body, steadier in character, and more dependable to the people who count on them. Rooted in Christian faith, our purpose is to put conviction into practice: honor your word, exercise self-control, respect your family, act fairly, and use your strength to serve others.

We value self-reliance alongside the humility to ask for help. Brotherhood means showing up, offering honest correction, and supporting one another through difficult seasons. In the gym and beyond it, the standard is the same: live with courage, follow through on your commitments, and contribute something worth remembering.

Why I’m Building PCS

I’m developing the Periodized Conjugate System (PCS), a forthcoming book shaped by the questions lifters face when putting a program into practice: Why this exercise? How much work is enough? When should the plan change? The aim is to connect training methods with the reasoning behind their use, so a lifter can make more informed decisions.

PCS brings conjugate methods together with planned changes in workload and intensity, athlete assessment, and ongoing feedback. That same emphasis on understanding the purpose of the work informs my coaching. I want you to know what we’re trying to improve, how we’ll track it, and why the next adjustment makes sense.

Let’s Build Your Next Step

Whether you’re getting started, returning to consistent training, or working toward bigger lifts, tell me what you want to accomplish.
